Katniss Everdeen ~ The Hunger Games
Catnip is one of those girls that will be on everybody’s list so I don’t need to explain this choice.
Celaena Sardothien ~ Throne of Glass
I have a love/hate relationship with Celaena. I love that she’s a super cool assassin but I hate that she blows her own trumpet all the time. A little bit of modesty never hurt anyone!
Kate ~ Kate Daniels series
Any female character created by Ilona Andrews is kick ass but there’s something extra about Kate. She’ll be dripping with blood, on the brink of exhaustion and she’ll still find it within her to wind somebody up. I’d like to be her best friend, please
Cinder ~ Lunar Chronicles
Cinder might be ashamed that she’s a cyborg but that girl will do what she damn well likes. Have you tried grounding her? Ha! She laughs in the face of punishment. Step off people, Cinder’s not taking orders from nobody.
Eve ~ Eden
Eve strikes me as a younger Kate Daniels. She can go into a cold, calculating trance but there will still be a hint of tenderness brewing underneath.
Lucy ~ Graffiti Moon
I have so much respect for this girl. Lucy is the kind of character that really doesn’t care what people think of her. She may have only just finished school but she knows what she wants out of life. Plus, the fact that she would punch a flipping gangster in the face is just amazing!
Elizabeth Cole ~ Ghost Planet
Elizabeth doesn’t have a lot going for her as she’s a little bit dead. But she’s not going to be like the other ghosts who just fade away into nothing, she’s going to make everyone sit up and listen!
Mac ~ Fever Series
Exhibit A – She created the MacHalo…Exhibit B – She can hold her own against Barrons (oh, Barrons) and Exhibit C – Tell her to do something and you’re stuffed.

ReplyDeleteAnd this looks like a great list. I have a fair few of these on my to-read list and I can agree on Katniss Everdeen. I missed out on this top-ten tuesday, but I wish I could have taken part since I like my kick-ass heroines!
